Synopsis

Adriana Lestido is undoubtedly one of the greatest contemporary Argentine photographers. Committed to activism from a young age, she experienced the horror of the dictatorship up close and found in photography a means of expression and perhaps, a way to bring light amidst so much darkness. Always empathetic with her subjects, her photographic essays allow us to see what is veiled to the naked eye, the human dimension of what Lestido needs to convey through images.
